HP Umpire Carlos Torres ejected Reds bench player Nick Martinez and manager Terry Francona (strike three call to Matt McLain; QOCY) in the top of the 9th inning of the #Reds-#Royals game. With none out and none on, Reds batter McLain took a 1-2 fastball from Royals pitcher Carlos Estévez for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the heart of home plate and knee-high (px -0.17, pz 1.52 [sz_bot 1.35]), the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Royals were leading, 3-2. The Royals ultimately won the contest, 3-2.
