LLWS Consolation game question

Watching the consolation game, top 2ND, R2. Wild pitch to back screen, runner takes off, 2 nd base umpire calls dead ball I think, awards R2 third. What am I missing? Is there a L L rule I don't know?

I believe U3 called time AFTER the runners had advanced.

For no good reason I can think of.

I do like the PU's plate mechanics. About the best I've seen since Rich's plate game.

There are a couple of camera wells ( is that right? ) directly behind HP. I think if the ball goes in one it's dead, even if it bounces out. That may be what happened.

The camera well makes sense. Time was called when R2 was about halfway between second and third. That I am sure of only because I used the rewind button like 12 times on my DVR!
