I love how the announcers think F1 steps straight down. I don't know about you but I have distance and direction toward 1B. IMO, correct easy call all day.

Obviously the runner was going on first move, he wasn't trying to read anything. He gambled and lost. Good no call.

I see daylight between the feet when he steps. Not the only criteria, but it gives you a good idea that he gained distance and direction.
