  1. Runner on third, two outs, ground ball to short. Throw to first is off target so 1st basemen isn't on bag when he catches the ball.... however, the runner over step steps the bag and never touches it. He is originally called safe by ump via rule of runner missing a bag, but on appeal is called out when first baseman tags the runner before he can return to 1st and appeals that he missed the bag. Before the appeal is granted, the runner scores from 3rd. The defense argues run shouldn't count because runner missed bag and out was still a force out, offense argues the runner was out on appeal, not a force, run should count. does run count?
  2. Little League Rule 5.07 provides for Minor League games: "The side is retired . . . when all players on the roster have batted one time in the half-inning . . . ." So, bottom of sixth (last inning), home team batting, scored five runs already but still down by one run. Five-run limit not in effect. One out, runners on second and third. Ninth and last batter on roster grounds to the shortstop, who throws to first. Runner from third crosses the plate before the throw reaches first. First baseman catches throw for putout of batter-runner. Fielders, thinking the last out was a forceout and no run scores on the play, start celebrating. Runner from second touches third and home after the putout. Who wins the game?
