If the batter runner runs through the orange base and starts to return to first but there is an overthrow and runner decides to go to 2nd base. Question is does the runner have to touch first base prior to advancing to 2nd. Question 2. If the batter runner hits the ball and runs through the orange base safe and returns towards 1st and proceeds to lead off without retouching 1st base is this legal.
