Oh trust me! I did… I was so confused.

Bases loaded, 2 outs… Short pop fly down the first base line, catcher runs out, drops the pop fly in fair territory. The lazy runner stands at home… catcher picks up the ball and throws the batter out at first. Meanwhile, the runner on 3rd comes across home plate before the out. My mind says “force out no run”. Umpire says “run scores! It’s a timing play” What say the crowd?
