    Catch or no catch

    Zeke posted a question in Ask the Umpire

    Runner on 1st with 1 out. The batter pops up to 1st baseman. The ball hits the 1st baseman's glove, pops out, hits the runner standing on 1st base, and then is caught prior to hitting the ground. Is it considered a catch and the batter is out?
