Florida high school game. (1977 State playoffs) bases loaded, ball 3 is called but team at bat has a play on.. batter drops bat, jigs towards first, all runners, jog to next base, with runner on third touching home. Catcher argues to ump “it’s only ball 3”? But runners have advanced, as ball was still in play. I was told by someone that I disagree with, the umpire should have called time out, and runners sent back to their respective bases… but there is no reason for umpire to call time out, just to make sure team in the field is aware it was only ball 3.. Opinion?
