    Working on the mound

It was high school fall league. The coach just grab a rake and ran out to the field and I walked out and told him he needed to stop as soon as he started to rake it. I should of saw him coming with it but he was out there with it before I realized what he was doing. He didn’t complain to much but tried to say safety issue. There was nothing unsafe about it his pitcher just didn’t like it.

    Working on the mound

If the mound is in safe conditions (not a safety issue). But a new pitcher comes in during the middle of the inning are you allowed to work on the mound just because a pitcher likes it a certain way. I’m not sure what the correct ruling on this is. I had this situation where a new pitcher came in during the middle of the bottom of the 5th inning. He just didn’t like it. I didn’t see any type of safety issue. I tried looking it up after the game but couldn’t find anything about it.
  3. I had a runner steal the other day and clearly got to the base before the tag. He slide in hard and toe clipped the corner of the base and then he came off the base until his waist hit the bag. Kind of awkward slide. He got tagged in between him touching the bag with the toe and his waist touching. I just called him out. Should I have verbalized that he came off the bag? Coach never came out but he was clearly furious going back to the dug out. The next inning when I was in A before the start of inning their first base coach was talking and I explained to him what happened then and he understood it. But should of have verbalized it with the call?
