USSSA 13U pool play.
Coach brings in the 2nd baseman to relieve, he is wearing sunglasses, batting glove under fielding glove and a black wristband on his throwing arm. However, it is 2 inches above his wrist. Umpires had him remove the sunglasses and batting glove. Offensive coach questions whether he can wear the wrist band. Umpires decide that since it is black it is okay. I'm watching from my seat behind home plate as he is warming up and the pitcher's throwing motion shows 2 white spots the ball and his arm below the band. I tell the umpire to watch his delivery and that the wristband would be a distraction for a batter.
Is this legal? If so, I am buying black wristbands for all of our pitchers.
