Hello, My name is Steven Sivak, I am a sixteen year old sophomore in high school. I have a great love and passion for the sport of baseball, I both officiate and play the game, I will do anything from high level little leagues game for both softball and baseball, to little league playoff games/ tournaments that are hosted around me area. I have always wanted to see the game from two different view points. That is why I started doing this job two years ago. I am getting ready to join the MHSAA as a Baseball/softball Umpire. I love both sports, the way the strategy comes to play and everything. The one thing that I am excited for is being able to help kids being educated and learn things for the best of the game.
The one thing I wish to learn from doing these little league games are the basic mechanics as well as the basic rules, as we use high school rules in the higher levels of little league, I also want to learn pointers from the veteran umpires that are apart of this community, so if you have tips would love to here them, I am always ready and willing to improve what I do behind the plate or out in the field. That is one of the big thing that I love as well, being able to improve on what I love doing as a job and as a sport.
If anyone has any pointers or tips I would love to hear them as I am getting ready for my season as a umpire to begin coming up next week.
Thanks for having me here and wish to hear from you all here really soon
