Not sure if this helps or not....there is a guy in Albuerquerqe New Mexico with a Crsiglist ad that had NB plate and base shoes in size 10. In fact he had an entire lot of umpire gear (size large) that he was selling for only 200 bucks!! If any of it was my size I would have scooped it up in a second! I am talking shirts, jackets, pants, CP, Shin Guards, Masks, everything.

HI all, I am new to umpiring this season and in the process of getting my equipment I ended up buying my shoes off a criagslist ad from out of state. While the shoes are my size, they are just a little to small (or narrow) so I went out and bought new ones locally. Therefore I am attempting to recoup what I paid on the used shoes by selling them to someone else that needs them (and wears the correct size, LOL) The Plate shoes are Riddell. The Base Shoes are Mizuno. Both are shined very nicely and appear to have been well taken care of before I bought them. Lots of tread on the bottoms as well. I have attached pics that should give you the general idea of their shape. I am looking for $50 for the plate and $35 for the base. I know most people on here most likely already have shoes, but figured I would post just in case someone knew someone like me just starting out....

After a few years of research (and a little getting my life in order) I finally got the call to start being an umpire in PA this season. I have been watching videos and reading materials for what seems like forever so that I would be somewhat ready when the time came. One of those materials has always been this site, so I figured it was time to join as well. I know that no amount of reading and watching video can take the place of actually getting out and calling the game, but I feel like I have a good head start and wont embarrass myself! I at least know to match my partner, and what gear is needed and what can wait for now. I look forward to reading more information, and will check back in once I actually start to work games.
