  1. In slow-pitch softball they use a flip-flop rule. I believe it starts in the second inning if a team is up by x amount (maybe more than 15) the losing team stay at bat until they get it below the mercy or it becomes an official game. Meaning they bat when 3 outs are recorded the innng ends. They stay at bat until 3 outs are recorded etc...
  2. Pete- While I agree with you that many umpires have gone to "private-public" forums, times have changed. Instead of asking others questions (and getting the smart-a** comments from some of the posters on the other sites you travel) we can look up many of the scenarios with an easy search. My biggest complaint on many of these forums is the attitude that is projected. You cannot expect someone to post a question, get berated for it and then think he/she will stay a member.
