and the umps care auction is up. you never know when an umpire or player will be a future HOF and you have a signed ball, hat, jersey etc. some game packages are in there and some autographed home plates are there. just a note about the plate you will see with the black border. that is the plate that was pretty much used for years for different levels of play. it used to be perfectly OK to call a pitch on the black a strike. even hitters would ask, you got that on the black ump, and if you said yes, the batter would just give an okay nod, and play on, said the old guy i talked with. nowdays it can start a major altercation.
