cwbaseball11
My beloved umplife harness is struggling to stay in position with a skullcap. Any tips or tricks? Thanks.

It’s also found in fabric/hobbyist stores (Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, Jo-Ann Fabrics, etc.) to tack fabric pieces together prior to sewing. It’s not a cement or glue, per se. Spray on the inside surface of the harness every few games, and you should see the harness cling to the skullcap better.
wolfe_man
Another suggestion? Use the All Star delta flex harness in all black. Best harness for skull caps out there in my opinion! If you insist on using another harness though, I have had success with putting a small square of black Velcro (pointy side) on the middle, back of my skull cap. When I put the harness on, it grabs and holds it in place. It will hold it steady through everything and will still allow you to pull it loose when you remove your mask.
cwbaseball11
Would a Honig's $7.99 harness work or would I still need the sticky tack/velcro?

I know this harness well (best conventional harness, as a value, on the market; waaaaaaay better than the atrocious Wilson harness). While it would work, it’ll slide even more readily than a neoprene or flex harness because it’s just coated nylon webbing. Not really ideal for skullcaps.
BLWizzRanger
I have an UmpLife harness with no issues. But, I do think I loosened it just a hair. Sent from my SM-F721U1 using Tapatalk
Rock Bottom
I think it likely depends on which skullcap you use. I use the All-Star Cobalt skull cap, which I love, but I do wish they didn't have the sandpaper finish - while the purpose is to make it grippier (I think), the neoprene-type harnesses seem to slip more on it than they would on a standard glossy finish, at least in my experience. That said, I still think the AS Cobalt is the best skull cap there is. I've used both the AS Delta-Flex (all black) and as great as it is, I like the Ump-Life version 2 mask harness better, but both work great. Razzer
try just backing off the tension a little or Wallmart sell tiny silicon beads which you can add to the MH or helmet 2
