Oh Damn it all.

You know, @ArchAngel72, ignorance is bliss. I was just fine without knowing UA added these to their wares.

Well, they're only selling the bag with the accessory pockets (not the plain one) so it's not like I need them.

<adds them to the UA wishlist>

Wait....  it would be a whole hell of lot easier matching with your partner and your own fashion sense if they just stayed with Navy.  Just say'n

Could probably put an upside down McDonald's Logo on there for personalization, too.

Nobody tell @MadMax.

Sigh placed an order of 2.

Sticking with grey to accessorize match the pants.  non of that blue for me.

Maybe MAAAAAYYYBE  I will develop a pink kit later but I am doing my damndest not to.

I'm the opposite; I've already got a blue AS Mag mask (posted elsewhere) and I might as well get ball bags to complete the look.

I don't have anything against pink per se, but the Mother's Day games (especially this year) in the MLB convinced me I don't like it on umpires.

I'll get gray bags too, to match our association shirts (we use the black with gray panels as standard) and the charcoal pants.

I do like the black with grey option.

For me... and speaking just for me... the blue & pink are a bit too loud.  I don't want to be too visible back there.

But I love the ingenuity and I love these ball-bags. I have a set of them in black and in navy.  They will hold an easy 8 baseballs without over-stuffing.   I was running with 6 in them last night and had no problems at all with them moving around.  They're easy to reach into and retrieve new baseballs too.  The internal pockets fit my UL line up folder and plastic plate brush with extra room, so easy in & out.

The only thing that I wish that I could change would be to make them a bit more squared-off/pointy in the corners more like regular ball bags.   At times, it looks like I'm wearing a gas mask up there on my hip with the rounded edges.  I do think the different color inserts help break up that look, so that's another plus on these for me.

Psssh… puh-leeze… I’ve already got 2 sets – one w/ grey, one w/ sky blue – on requisition from @Razzer

You cannot escape the skyyyy bluuuuue. 😵‍💫 The Fanatics -style MLBU shirt, in black, has sky blue as the trim! Ha! Can’t escape it!*

I’ll do navy, if I or my partner(s) feel like it. We’re adults, and free-thinking humans. We don’t need some stubborn, closed-minded, highly-opinionated chair-barons to tell us what color shirt to wear. Are you providing the shirt? No? Then you’ve got no say in it. How does wearing navy vs. black vs. sky blue vs. polka dots make me a better umpire? It doesn’t, TYVM.

It’s because they are rounded like that that allows them to bellow out and accommodate 8-9 baseballs each. I’ll take beneficial functionality over traditional style cues, any day, and twice on getaway day.

I was watching MLB game last week Hunter Wendelstedt was wearing the Blk & Blue  bags

Those were made by Ray for Hunter, personally.

This isn’t unprecedented. Fieldin Culbreath’s wife used to hand-make Cubby’s ball bags, albeit in navy… or, like, obsidian. It wasn’t true black, more like a midnight blue.

See to me I would have gone with the grey instead as there was no blue on the shirts..

just my 2 cents

There's blue on the inside of his buttons, and he has a blue sunglasses strap...but I agree with you:  bags would look better with a blue shirt.

AH YES now that I peeked around at enlarged other photos I do see in his inner collar he has blue there and yeah the sunglasses retainer yep.

Still to me the grey to go with the pants look would be better imho
