Hi everyone, hope you are doing well. I was wondering where you put your lineup cards at, when you are behind the plate. Do you guys put it in your shirt pocket or ball bag? And do you guys prefer Lineup card holders or NO???

I use the UmpLife XL 6.5" magnetic holder.

I always have two, 3X5" unlined index cards under the magnet on each side of my book. After approving the lineup cards, I fold them up so they will fit the dimensions of the book and then I write Home or Away, the color of the team's uniforms and the manager's first names on each folded up lineup card.

I wear two ball bags. One is a Force 3 Dry-Lo WITH accessory pockets, one is a Force 3 Dry-Lo WITHOUT accessory pockets. The bag with pockets goes on my right hip. The bag without pockets is on my left. I keep my brush and indicator in the pockets on the right bag and I keep my book and pen in the non-pocketed bag on my left.

I used to use my shirt pocket but, even with today's modern materials I just found my book and or indicator were wearing holes prematurely in my shirts around the pocket...

I have a very similar setup. With my UL XL holder, I put the lineup cards on the side of the holder as their dugout (i.e. lineup in the 1B dugout is on the right side of the holder, lineup in the 3B dugout is on the left side). I write the manager's first name on the card (if it's not already there).

My ball bags are the UL bags (fantastic and well-worth the extra cost, IMHO) and the lineup card goes in the left bag.

UmpLife Lineup Card Folder (LCF? Plate Book = PB? Plate Umpire Book = PUB? Oo, I like that.  Plate Umpire Folder = PUF? 🤔Version 1, in the left UmpLife Version 1 ball bag, which has the compartment dividers. Unfortunately, since both the folder and the ball bag are A-Number-Version-Mark-1-Alpha, they don’t quite go together… the top of the folder peeks out the top of the compartment (which @Razzer notes he’s made the adjustments to).

*Sigh* The hardships of being first, I guess.

Oh, I hate chest pockets.
