The longer that Nike goes without a plate shoe solution, the more I will (and have!) gravitate(d) towards Mizuno shoes, in both plate and base.

I’ll be trying these soon! I already like the Ambition2s… I just needed to buy Smartfeet Carbon insoles for them, as the standard insoles are less substantial than tissue paper.

@MadMax careful with Mizuno plate shoes. Buddy got a busted toe taking a fastball to his mizunos.  Dont think that should happen with a properly built plate shoe.

The new ones (North America?)   Or, the Japanese versions (which is what @MadMax has)

Overall, I like the look and feel of this shoe. In a world of near ubiquitous New Balance, it's nice to wear something others aren't while still conforming to the uniform code. That being said, I have a lot of durability and construction concerns with this shoe. I don't expect it's going to last very long...

I did too--wearing my NB shoes. If there's a direct hit, it's not going to feel nice regardless of what shoe one wears.

@Thunderheads asked it before I could… were these Mizunos of USA 🇺🇸 or Mizunos of Japan 🇯🇵? Similar looks, different constructs.

Mizuno Pro plate shoes, purchased from samuraigears.com is all I know.  Sounds like I'm wrong in thinking plate shoes will prevent broken bones from *all* shots.
