**PRESALE** NEW Umpire Protective Undergarment

concertman1971
Umpire-Empire locks topics which have not been active in the last year. The thread you are viewing hasn't been active in 568 days so you will not be able to post. We do recommend you starting a new topic to find out what's new in the world of umpiring.

Fellow umpires, if after a game your inner thigh looks like picture 1, or if you are still wearing a garment that looks like picture 2,  then you need to take a look at pics 3-5.

After starting this project nearly 6 years ago, it is finally ready for release. ThighPro was developed by an umpire (me) for umpires. Thin and flexible padding is only 4MM thick and disperses 90% of an impact. Both the impact material and the shorts are made in the USA. The padding is thin, flexible, and breathable. The cup pocket is designed to securely hold almost any standard cup.

Product that is being manufactured will be a charcoal gray, so when you split your pants, no one will even know! Product will be shipping mid April, and preorders will go live early March. MSRP $69.95. Shipping will be from Nashville, TN.

Thanks for your support,

PS.....Thanks to Pete S. in MD for letting me take pics of his worn out, holey, tired protective pants.

What material is the padding? Does the padding come out for washing, or do you wash the shorts w/the padding in it?

Thanks!

It does not come out and can be washed in cold. The padding is a proprietary 4mm thick foam that disperses 90% of an impact. Ch2ck out @thighpro in instagram for some videos.

Thanks!

Presale is live! https://thighpro.com/collections/umpires

This has been a product that I have been working on for a long time.

ThighPro is a Veteran owned company and our products are proudly manufactured in the USA at a woman-owned factory in Los Angeles, CA. Tim O'Day created ThighPro as a catcher and umpire for catchers and umpires. We ship to consumers from Nashville, Tennessee. Extensive research and testing went into the development of ThighPro and was done so across many conferences including the SEC, the Mid-South Conference, the Big East, and the Atlantic-10 conference.

I have never been hit in the thigh, largely due to my stance not leaving me exposed there (sit in the chair).  However, if this could be a CP layer ... I'm in.

Coming to an Ump-Attire website near you. Courtesy of a joint venture of @Razzer, @JimKirk, and @concertman1971... the newest CP on the market! (Note... name to be determined at a later date).

I also went down this path about 16 months ago and also used a great foam called poron and they were ok but the foam will not take many washing cycles

This 4mm foam is open cell when hit it allows air to escape but goes back to it's original shape. Closed cell foam does not

Not going to go much further but if I do the foam must be removeable to the user.

wow.  I just checked the website, and those are priced just a bit on the "sting my wallet" side.  Looks like I'm staying with the F3 kevlar pad inserts for now.

"Made in USA" is not inexpensive.......

But yes, I realize these are a premium product!

Again, bless you for doing this!!!

I'm ordering soon... lemme just get clear of my taxes first. (Are these deductible? 🤔 )

Coincidently, my Nike sliders are all wearing out, and losing their elasticity. And, I'm fed up with Nike's #### (rhymes with "soak") -activism and ... 🤨... yeah, you get my drift. I'm distancing myself from the Swoosh.

I've got 4 Nike sliders to replace. Any chance you'd consider a quantity discount?
