Question

Runner on 2nd.
Ball is hit in the air and is coming down between SS and Pitcher.
The SS has called the ball and is progressing to "make" the play.
The Runner on 2nd interferes with the SS, causing him to lose the ability to make the play.
The 2nd Baseman, who was already coming into the area, makes the play.
Q: is the runner out for interference against the protected SS (who was making the play)?

The umpire must determine who the "protected fielder" is -- that is, the fielder most likely to make the play. If that was F6, then this is INT. If it was F4, then this is (likely) OBS.
