coach enters field of play

Any penalty for a coach entering the field of play... ?  ie:   foul ball hit in the air, coach vacates the box and enters the field of play, avoiding the fielder making a play on the ball. 

I don't believe there is, but someone mentioned this to me,  so I figured I'd ask those of you who cared to comment.

The base coach is a member of the offensive team who is authorized to be on the field, at that point in time. A base coach who is attempting to get out of the way, to not interfere with the defensive teams ability to field a batted ball, and who does not in fact interfere can go where ever he need to go to be out of the way. By moving into fair territory, he most likely is in a better position to 'interfere' with his own runner. I am not going to pick this one, unless of course the base coaches actions do in fact interfere.

I'll give this "someone" the benefit of the doubt and expand:  If a base coach is in foul ground and is hit by the ball, it might be nothing (an errant throw; a line drive that no fielder had an opportunity to catch, etc.).  But if the coach, enters fair territory and is hit by a batted or thrown ball, it's something --even if the act of getting hit was inadvertent.

Neither of those apply in your specific case, of course -- but the coach can put his/her team at more risk by entering the field.

Since Mr. noumpere brought it up, here are the rules for when a base coach gets hit by a thrown ball. Only the FED really says anything about what happens when the coach is hit by a throw in fair territory. In NCAA there is no mention of what happens when the coach is hit in fair territory. And the way I read the OBR rule it is not interference if the base coach is accidentally hit by a throw anywhere on the field.

2019 NFHS Case Book Play 3.2.3 SITUATION:  The third-base coach is accidentally hit by a thrown ball when standing in (a) the coach’s box, (b) foul territory or (c) fair territory. RULING:  There is no penalty in (a) and (b), and the ball remains live. In (c), it is automatic interference.

2017-18 NCAA rule 8-3j. If a thrown ball strikes a base coach on foul ground, the ball is in play. If the coach interfered intentionally with such a thrown ball, the runner is out and any other runners must return to the last base touched;

2019 OBR rule 6.01(f ) Coach and Umpire Interference

If a thrown ball accidentally touches a base coach, or a pitched or thrown ball touches an umpire, the ball is alive and in play. However, if the coach interferes with a thrown ball, the runner is out.
