did not see a sweep coming .............wow

For either team! I expected much more of an... er... fight(?) from the Rangers.

I'm a Giants fan. So I need to pull for my team. But I would LOVE to see a Cubs-Indians world series.

Living in Portland, Sir. That strikes deep. LOL

Hey, you have an excuse to not root for bad teams.

Actually, I'm a Bay Area boy. Born and raised there. So I am as Giants fan. But Seattle is the easiest team to get on the radio/TV so in a de facto way I am becoming a fan of theirs. Also I like listening to Rizz and Simms.

Game 160 and 161 were riveting to watch though!

Having grown up in Chicago, albeit a Southsider, I can't help feeling the Cubs will find a way to choke.

This is not the Cubs we grew up with. This is basically an expansion team. They changed everything about the organization. The only people that think anything that happened in the past is relevant are fans and bad media types.

Except that expansion teams usually suck... For a long long time. The Cubs have done that in spades.

This is a team that was build to actually win. With GM, right Manager, right players.

Yeah, it's awesome. Funny how many fans and writers were bashing them for blowing up the team. Mediocrity is the worst thing in sports. If you ain't first, you're last, right?

To hit on so many of their top prospects was amazing. They really scouted superbly. But Madden becoming available was such a key factor in cutting years off the expected competitive timeline.

Rick Rizzs is great. Those games were intense but game 161 was hard to get over.

I so wanted you guys to win out, the Tigers to win out, and the O's/Jays to lose out and force a 4-way tie for the WC

That would've been sweet. The pictures of Felix after game 161 were heartbreaking. He didn't have his ace stuff this year but he'll always be the King in Seattle.

I think the M's needed to win out. Detroit had to lose one. And Toronto and Baltimore had to lose out. Then it would have been Seattle at home against Toronto or Baltimore. Detroit would have been home against only Seattle.

Would have been SWEET!

Whatever the way to the sit, that's what I wanted! Would've been great. Been a fun post season so far!

Darn straight it has been.

Also, has anyone else enjoyed the fact that this originally was supposed to have been about the American League series. And. Has devolved and been hijacked into it being about the National League series?
