Question

5 th and 6 th grade Little League Baseball.
Bases loaded, no outs. Batter hits ground ball between 1st and 2nd base, the ball hits the runner advancing to 2nd. the second baseman picks up the ball throws the ball to first before the hitter gets there. Both runners on 3rd and 2nd score on the play. At first the (umpire) calls the runner the ball struck out and the hitter out, and lets both runners score. There is a conversation between the coaches and the Young Umpire and was decided the runner struck by the hit ball is out, the hitter was awarded first base, but did allow both runners to score. I believe the explanation was once the 2nd basemen made a play with the ball by throwing it to first all runners could advance at there own risk ??

It's a good thing the coaches got involved to correct this.
