RLI called when BR is thrown out?
I was perusing some FED videos on the Arbiter NFHS site. One video showed two plays with the BR out of the lane and in both plays he was thrown out. No RLI was called in either play in the video. However, the video says that in both cases time and RLI should have been called as soon as the throw was made. That's not how I read the rule in FED, OBR or NCAA. Two screenshots from the video. The point of the OP screen shots from official NFHS videos posted on their Arbiter website for umpire training is that they say that a RLI violation should be called when the batter-runner is seen out of the lane and a throw is made. If you need to see the video I will capture it with my phone and email it to you. I am not going to spring for 5.95 or whatever it takes to become an NFHS member to let you see the video.
