Just received. Matte black, except the Mizuno logo/diamond in the center is high gloss. May paint that over.

Don't have it with me to measure, but I would say 6". Seems wider than most.

The one thing I would say surprised me was how light it is.

I put mine up tight on the inner rung of my Diamond. I'm not thrilled with the look, but I do think it offers a little more width in protection, a hair more length than the shorty I've been using, and no more weight. I need to place a couple of rubber bumpers to keep it from "clacking", and I'm all set.

So, I went to the garage to look where I might find those elusive rubber bumpers (little, sticky sided dots, that are used on furniture), and found some black felt ones. I trimmed one to the width of the lower bar, and there you go. No more clacking. Easy fix.
