Has anybody gone to this camp? I'm looking into going but wondering if it's worth taking a full week out of my school year next fall to go. (I mean, to me it is...to my district, it may not be...)

If you've gone, how was the instruction? Is it geared more towards those who are planning to go directly to T/WUS after or is it just a general umpire camp?

I know what the camps ARE, I'm asking if it's worth the over 1200 dollars to get down to their Long Beach camp next November.

I can't do that until I know what the actual camp is like to attend...

I went to the camp in New Orleans 2 yrs ago. It was good, but geared for newer guys who are trying to decide if becoming an umpire is the way to go. They ( MLB) do give out full ride scholarships to attend one of the 5 week umpire schools.
