Two things....

1. Both My CPs are done and Shipping back today. Not a bad turn around. They had them for 11 days. Shipping back 17 Days before they were promised. Must be a good time of year for them. They sent pics of the Douglas. They do not do the shoulder pads because they are attached by rivets. Got an email from Pam at Team Wendy this morning with the pics below.

2. According to the website:

7. Does Team Wendy retrofit shin guards?

No, we only retrofit chest protectors.

Is that CP metal? No that's what I thought at first too, its a plastic with a metal appearance which is why it looks so awesome. Their shin guards look even more metal like, its a really cool look.

@grayhawk @BaltimoreUmpireI love the look of it! I've already got a Wilson that I'm sending in to TW but I may order those shin guards for the looks alone. Not that anyone but me would know they have that metal look but I'd still feel like robocopette, lol.

If you do measure carefully, if you have to return them you're subject to a potential "25% restocking fee". Just keep that in mind, you might want to go thru UA to avoid that.(I think the fee only applies to buying from Douglas itself).

Good info. Thanks. I may also need a trunk to store all the stuff I want to buy in. Ya'll are a bad influence, I see all ya'lls cool awesome stuff and I want it all.

If you want shin guards, I would buy the Unequals over the Douglas.  Best ones I've ever owned, and much less costly than the Douglas ones.

Got my TW Douglas back today...see pics above. There padding make the neck opening a little bit smaller. It is noticeable to me. Hopefully some wearing it and breaking in the padding will help with the neck area....so much thinner and the padding really does feel more substantial than the regular Douglas padding.

Wore the Douglas for the first time last for a Little League Fall Ball game...did not know that was a thing...bad baseball, but the CP is amazing. Took no shots...except two to the left bicep. But it is extremely comfortable and feels much more substantial and low profile compared to when it was a standard Douglas. The TW padding seems like it will take a couple of games to break in. It is stiffer than the standard pad.
