F2 went left into the batter. That's why it wasn't called.

no he didnt' ........he was well within the catchers box ....

Really??? Look at the overhead view. He steps on the batters back foot and he is still in the box!!!

I think Hundley tried to buy the call by stepping into the batter.  I don't have batter's interference based on where the initial contact was made.

This is why he made a bad throw and you can see PU look right at it. F2 was not he was well within the catchers box ....

For once you can admit you are wrong! :rose:

it's an opinion and a judgement.  I can tell you I'd be calling INT here all day if that happened to me.  Not that it'd be right, just sayin

There was certainly contact well after the throw, but I don't know that the throw was affected by the batter.  Usually if the batter affects the throw, the throw goes high and right, not low and left.

Another tight call. It looks to me like hindrance, but what the hell do I know? BI in one of my games, but maybe not for a pro F2.

Agree....

We've seen much less called BI this season alone ..........

i don't have INT based on the replay starting at 0:34 (though in real time id prob have INT). F2 stepped on the batters back foot which was still in a legal position in the batters box. the arm and throwing motion was not hindered by anything else

This is what I've been saying!

I thought F2 had to short arm the throw to avoid his arm coming down on the batter. I think he adjusted to the foot contact, but when the batter spun across the plate, I think F2 short armed the throw because of that. I've got BI.

I definitely would have called BI in real time. And since none of my games have the luxury of permitting IR, that is the only call that matters

AGAIN, .... just like the RLI 'no call'  the other day ..........

If this was called BI on the field ....EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU would be nodding YES .......GOOD CALL .......

just because it's called on an MLB field doesn't necessarily make it "correct".  AND THAT'S OK!

Pitch is on the outside corner. Look at where F2 starts out on this play.

Why does F2 have to go to his left to make a throw ?

Look at players immediately after throw...B is croutched, F2 follow-through into the batter's box.

When F2 move towards B to make a throw, I start thinking he's trying to initate hinderance.
