MLB umpires have been getting the short end of the marketing stick. They get a HUGE amount of TV time, and do almost zero with it. Now I'm not advocating looking like Japanese or South American umpire

Majestic is the leader in umpire apparel for how long?   And, ...the do an ad for their new stuff and have some dork with his thumb up????  what the hell?!?!?

Sucks in my opinion. Change for change sake. Won't be trying or buying.

But, if there were no changes nobody would buy things.  Same old drab, dreary stuff.

I remember +POS having a Navy base jacket years ago that had the red gussets under the arm and back up the back shoulder.....was 1000% better tlooking than those Majestic jackets........

 

Those are just plain ugly..........

I can't see the pro guys wearing Navy again but hey who am I. I haven't worn Navy in such a long time I don't even own one any longer.

I'm glad the pros are going back to navy. We are called blue for a reason!

The Navy shirt is listed as "Umpire Polo - Collegiate."

@grayhawk - but is that the official uniform for MLB umpires? It could be just what majestic just named the shirt.

I have no idea, but the black shirt is called, "Umpire Polo - Replicating MLB" so it seems like that's the one meant to be worn in MLB, not the other one.

I don't think Majestic would be putting it out there without MLB Umpires approval.  That thumb thing though.

There is a rumor that Majestic will not be the official supplier of MLB umpire Uni's next year. Nike will supply the uniforms for both teams and umpires.
