Had CI the other night in a Legion game. Third base coach killed the play by announcing it (after I announced it) -I don't think he heard or saw me, but I'll get into that in a minute - so everyone stopped and I made the award.

The offensive base coaches came out in the 1st inning without helmets. I got an email from my assignor that morning - it goes out to everyone on my board - informing us that base coaches have to wear helmets, so I enforced it. The coaches weren't happy, as they had no base helmets. They had to wear regular helmets, so they couldn't hear anything, e.g. the coach not hearing my interference call, and they looked ridiculous. Which amused me to no end for the rest of the game.
