I so often think to myself that if I was a coach I would teach my catcher or whomever to throw it into their back since probably 90% of runners run inside the runner's lane...

I wonder whether any coach at any level teaches players what the running lane is even for.

 

Jeff, he was "fine" only until he got to the running lane, and in the first 45' he can run wherever he wants. He was inside pretty much the whole way to 1B once he got to the lane.
