They don't want to hire 17 new umpires.

That might cost approx $2 million. In 2012 MLB revenue was $7.2 billion.

This new expense would be approx 0.03% of revenue...that's too expensive ?  

 

If the yankees could get rid of A-Fraud, they could cover this cost for 50 years.

Can you even imagine having a non-umpire reviewing a call?  Seriously?  I don't think the MLB umpires would ever agree to that.

A whole new can of worms, huh? If I were an MLB umpire I would only approve this if it were umpires in the replay center.
