Ervin Santana balked all night last night by those standards. The first was mighty picky - dare I say not there? - but the second was more obvious.

I couldn't see the first one, but on the second one he never came set. His hands were moving.

That's what I thought (hence the title of the thread), but he did the exact same thing in the last pitch but was not balked?

Go to the :56 sec mark.. what kind of shoes is Nelson wearing.

There is no way in hell I am going to criticize a professional umpire for calling balks. 1. I'm not even close to being a professional. 2. He is there I'm not.

I looked this clip up on MLB.tv and listened to "PARK" audio.

Nelson on the second balk: "That's a balk.....He didn't stop. That's not a stop. That's not remotely close to a stop. That's not a stop. I've been telling him all night that's not a stop."

Colorados dugout just looked at him.

What is park audio?

Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2

On MLB.tv there is a setting for the audio to be set to a setting titled "PARK"

Essentially this audio setting features the video of the broadcast of your choice but as for the audio, you listen to an on-field microphone.

It's a good tool if something happens at the plate (like this) where you want to listen in.

How do I find this setting? That'd be great to hear some things that are said on field. I found the video but I only have the option of turning the volume up or down.

When in the MLB.tv browser, On the left hand side of the time bar will be an option, click that. You will then be able to select audio and video options depending on what is provided. Sometimes it's not provided.

3rd one looked like he didn't come set more than the first two!

You only balk that kind of a no stop with R1 or R2. Insert I really mean that or tongue in cheek emoticon.
