Rolando , that's great!

But, that seems to be a pretty steep investment knowing it won't help you, isn't it?

There is that Million to 1 chance that I may pick something up!

Wow, that looks like an awesome clinic!  A week for $300 is reasonable.

I will be going for both weeks. I have heard great things about this camp, two of the umpires I know went last year said it was great and are going to be attending again. From what they told me, it will only be better this year, they are adding some good instructors.

I'll send you a PM.

I am going week 2 and have also heard nothing but good things about the instructors and the clinic itself. Looking forward to it.

I see a possible road trip. Let you know what I decide. $300 is not bad for a week.

Not bad at all, plus if you stay for week two Rob will not charge you for the second week and will pay you to work the games. I would love to stay but my schedule does not permit it.

Its in Orlando correct? What are some hotels nearby that have a reasonable price?

They already have a hotel setup for this. $20 a night for 2 of you. $38 Single

So it IS an actual clinic.  Rolando going to Orlando.........I just thought someone had typing dyslexia, or MST's spell checker. :sarcasm:

Did any one go?.. what is the feedback.. i was moving that week, so I was not able to make it.
I went for the first week. Very good clinic. Excellent instructors. Rob Healy is the me owner of Florida Collegiate. Very nice guy. Tony Thompson was also there. The head Wendelstad instructor did all the classroom teaching.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I think you still have to go to Pro school and attend Tony's camp to do any kind of conference baseball.  Just saying...

No you do not have to go to pro school to work in any of Tony's Conferences. I will admit that it helps, but it is not a requirement. You do have to go to one of Tony's evaluation clinics that he holds at various locations every year across the SE. If you prove that you can umpire at the collegiate level and he sees you work....there is a good chance he will hire you.

Not true... alot of Tony's SEC umpires have never been to Pro School.. a couple of the Umpires in the CWS didnt go to Pro School,.
