What about the interference no-call (BR not in the lane) in the bottom of the 4th?

Brandon Crawford hit a weak chopper on the 1B side, Craig started to field it, but then retreated when Carpenter came off the mound to field it.

Craig in fact had trouble getting back to the bag, but Carpenter made a quality throw. Crawford ran the entire time on the infield side of the running lane, and I also saw him veer slightly to his left as he approached first.

Of course this just happened, so no video yet (if ever).

Would you have scored it a hit? I haven't seen the play

E3>>H>E1

I think hit would have been reasonable but I'd go with E3.

Guys,

Why does it seem so hard to go to mlb.com/video and find things?

Here is the video , ...watch at :35 or so on ..... not the worst throw, but not the best throw either .....the throw was no where close to the line and although Crawford was slightly inside the line, there was no INT here, and a good no-call. The difference between OBR and FED ...this is a good video to show that difference .......OBR needs a quality throw

I agree. The throw was not quality for this play. A quality throw would have the throw over 1B since F3 had to come back to it to have a chance. Plus, F3's opportunity to catch the throw was not interfered with. The throw was catchable if he wasn't having to break his back and ankles to come back and catch it. Poor throw = no INT. It was not a good throw at all given the circumstances.
