Ah, the old millimeter play. I have the innermost edge of the baseball, about 1.5 inches off the ground, over the outermost point of the foul line, but then again, our best angle for this play provides an obstructed view. If this play resulted in ejection, I'd have a QOC of "correct."

Good Call! Maybe the bottom of the ball is in foul. But the right side of the ball is in fair. (only a guess)

That's a play that has to do with eye dominance. The ump was left eye dominant, and the player was left eye dominant. They both saw it the other way. Simple explaination.:wave:

Honestly, I have no clue.

It's the old clinic question. You set the ball down so it isn't touching the line but a portion of the ball is over the line and ask," Fair/foul?"

If the ball would of rolled straight another 30 feet or whatever it would of hit the base and we all know thats a fair ball. So the ball in this position is also fair.

The following two example would meet your criteria:

A rolling ball that hits 1B or 3B is fair by rule even if it just barely nicks the base.

A ball in flight that just barely nicks the foul pole is fair.

Therefore the answer to your age old question is FAIR.

Yes. Eye dominance. One of your eyes are dominant over the other. Simple test. Stand in a room. With both eyes open, point to any small object across the room...A door knob, the top corner of the wall -anything. Now close one eye. Are you still pointing right at the object or did you finger "move". Now try closing you other eye. Your finger will appear to have moved when one eye is close, and stay pointed at the object when the other eye is closed. The eye you're looking through when your finger remains pointed at the object is your dominant eye.

It's always fun to listen to the split of answers, but fair it is.

gutsy call. If he would have called it foul no one would have second guessed him IMO. the right call was made though
