Howdy

Greetings Earthlings. I suspect some of you will recognize me from other places around the interwebs. I figured I have lurked here long enough, it was time to sign up.

For those of you who don't know me, I cut my teeth officiating by umpiring baseball at the tender age of 13. I called baseball for several years until I went to college where the rigors of college life demanded more of my time. I graduated and started officiating football and then basketball but never picked up baseball again.

Fast forward to today and I'm finding I miss being on the baseball diamond. With a one year old at home, I can't really justify being gone for three sports so I'm looking at picking up baseball and dropping the pointy ball game.

Looking forward to getting into baseball next spring (missed training classes this year, phooey) and in the meantime, joining in the conversation here and putting my gear together.
