Upper level guys should know the following:

Never insist on the last word. If you are in an argument and the guy turns to walk away, stop talking- even if you are in mid-sentence with your brilliant explanation-stop talking. (Taken from the NCAA manual "Essential of Observation / Evaluation of the Division 2 Umpire")
