MSBL Playoffs

Had the semi-finals today, both games were actually pretty good. Odd thing was the 2hr drop dead time limit.

Due to rain and other games on the field we had to shorten the games from 3hr/9inn to 2hr/7inn. 1st game was 6-8, walked off when the bell rung at 2hr mark. 2nd game was 2-3, walked off the field with 20 mins left on the clock. All in all a pretty good day in adult baseball!

Hopefully tomorrows championship game goes as smooth.

widac, this league has been going pretty much all year. they start sometime in the spring and go thru fall.

the only bell i heard was the alarm on my partner's watch.

It's actually more of a beep. I have a cooking (count down) timer with a magnetic back. It is small enough to be inconspicuous when affixed to an upright somewhere in the backstop area.

championship game today was a very good defensive battle, lots of outstanding plays in the outfield from both sides. game was 8 1/2 innings in 1:58 0-2, defending champs won again. I'll say it again Tulsa, OK MSBL is not your typical MSBL league, no whiners, and pretty good ballplayers.

What ages? 18+?

Also I did a JV weekend tourney last year where they had 8-10 teams and 2 fields where they had games starting on both fields at 8am, 10, 12pm, 2,4 and 6pm. They did have an actual loud horn that blew at 1:50 drop dead, good times. :banghead:

it was a blast! got to work with guys i haven't worked with since spring. our assignor showed up while we were pregaming and we talked him into working 4 man. three different diving plays by the cf made that decision payoff.
