  1. Needed to get some replacement laces for my 460s. Went to the NB store. Told him there 6 eyelets per side....he sold me 45" laces. Got home took laces out of one of the 460s....a lot longer...Measured about 65". Took 45" laces back and exchanged for 63"...longest they make. Fit great. So if you need replacement laces for NB 460s...get a 63" lace. Next I am going to take the laces out of one of my zig plate shoes and measure it so I can have a back up pair of laces for them.
  2. OK ....here's what I have .......   I have a SET of umpire shoes.  These are 3n2 base and plate shoes, size 10.5.  Light and comfortable, worn for one season (2010) and have been sitting in the 'umpire close' since as back ups and they're doing no good 'sitting there'   They are used but in decent shape.   The plast shoe (right shoe) has a tear on the outside connection of the metatarsal plate to the toe area (can be seen in the picture of the plate shoes stacked) but it's currently 'repaired' but the tear is there.   I also have 2 Navy Richardson fitt
  3. Cleaning out the Umpire closet today and decided it was time to unload some stuff that I don't use anymore. Nothing is wrong with any of it. Some of it was never even used in a game. Prices are negotiable. PM me if you are interested. I keep all of my stuff really clean and maintained. Reebok Base Shoes size 11- Worn for one season. Nothing wrong very clean. MLB logo on heel. I own way too many base shoes ($15) SOLD Reebok Plate Magistrates size 11- Old-style mid cut. Size 11. Worn for about three seasons. $45. SOLD Schutt Air Flex 1- Worn twice. Worked well. Have 3 other CPs that
  4. Hi all, I am in possession of some lightly used umpire shoes. I have a pair of New Balance 460 plate shoes as seen here: http://www.ump-attire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MU460MBK-EE&Category_Code=UMPIRE-PLATE-SHOES&Product_Count=1 and some field shoes as seen here: http://www.ump-attire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MF995LBK-EE&Category_Code=UMPIRE-BASE-SHOES&Product_Count=13 They are both all black and sized 13EE. The actual shoes I love, they are just a tad too big for my feet. I probably needed a 12.5 and I sized
  5. .....while watching Spring Training clips on MLB Network last night .....   Pretty sure this is Angel Campos, but ....has anyone seen plate shoes with a white mid-sole??   http://www.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=25637935&c_id=sea
  6. I wanted to canvas the community and get a good idea of everyones wants and needs for a Nike umpire shoe, plate and base.  I have this up as a poll, but as much info as you'd like to add, please feel free.   I'd like to use this information to pass along to anyone at Nike who will listen, and/or anyone on here currently in contact with Nike.   Enjoy!
  7. Ordered some new plate shoes early last week and UPS delivered them Friday afternoon just before I had to leave to go out of town. I had to open the box and at least see and touch them before I left. (Such a dork, I know). Got back Sunday night and had to pull them out, replace them and try them on. In walks the wife and there I am, standing in our room, in my shorts wearing my new killer whale plate shoes. She stopped, shook her head, turned around and walked back out. Couldn't help but to burst out laughing. Unfortunately, no game tonight so I have to wait until tomorrow.
  8. On sale at Ump-Attire.com. I picked up a second pair. While I'm a convert to Zigs, I really like the comfort of these plate shoes. Got my first pair at the NCAA clinic for $79 and these for about $100 (including shipping). "If you've been putting off buying new plate shoes now might be the time. For two days only you can save $25 off our New Balance MLB Plate Shoes."
  9. Anyone make the switch from Field Magistrates to the new New Balance MU460's? Looking for some feedback on fit/comfort/performance differences. I've had my Reeboks for 3 seasons now and am starting to look for a replacement. I really like the Reeboks and know how they fit, but the MU460's do look tempting, especially with the different width options. I've seen different views on-line of whether or not the MU460's run true to size or need to be sized up. I went against the size-up advice when I got my Reeboks and they fit perfectly, but I got a pair of the ZigTech base shoes in my true
