Honigs improved the comfort of their signature shin guard by upgading to a contoured nylon covered foam pad that's softer and better cushioned.  The floating lower knee cap allows better flexibility when bending down into your stance.  Encased plastic ankle plates provide additional protection.  What sets this apart from other professional models is its versatility.  Five sizes ensure you find the perfect fit.  The instep plate is removable if you're wearing mid or high cut plate shoes and don't desire the overlapping protection.

Removable thigh plate can be added for above the knee protection (K30E sold separately).

All around, the best and most versatile choice for affordable professional level protection.

I purchased these shin guards in January of 2010. They were just hitting the market. I have found that they protect you like a tank...they also feel as heavy, as big and as uncomfortable as one as well. I didn't realize just how big they were until I tried a pair of Pro-9 guards. Wow, what a difference!

I have taken many shots off of the Honigs K2010's and have yet to feel one. In most cases it is a loud noise that lets me know I've been hit. But I will be changing from these next season. I just don't like the fit, the feel, the weight, the bulk or the lack of mobility I have with these guards.

I got mine this spring and I love them!  Plenty of protection, comfortable.  I looked at a lot of SG's before buying these and these stood out.  I got these on an internet special for $39!

I recently got a pair of these as a replacement for a pair of the Honigs K20 that I had bought last season.  The K2010 is a big upgrade and worth looking into.  The padding is very different (similar to the WV) and has plates on the sides to protect the ankles.  The shin padding is removable for cleaning.  The shin guards are very comfortable and about the same weight as the WV Platinum.  The K2010 model seems to be a little wider (less rounded) than the Wilson but, it is not bulky by any means.  The metatarsal plate is easily removable without cutting it off.  The other attractive feature is that these come in 5 sizes from 15-19".  They come as a double knee but can be upgraded to a triple knee with an additional thigh plate.  At $59.95 (minus 10%) this is a good deal on an excellent piece of gear.
