I have now gotten 3 games in with my new All Star MVP2500 System 7 HSM.
This is the first HSM I have ever tried or used.

Although it's weight can not compare with my previous Diamond FW Mask with Wilson Wrap Around Pads, I have not noticed the weight during the games. It is very comfortable.

The view from the HSM is great and better than my mask. I believe this fact will greatly extend the service of this HSM over others that are not easily replaced.

A very large plus is the fact that all pads in the helmet are replaceable. I believe this fact will greatly extend the service of this HSM over others that are not easily replaced. I am also considering getting an additional set to rotate them on warm days when I pull a double header on the dish. Start the 2nd game with dry pads.

I have found that I can still easily remove it during all plays in which I was removing my mask. At that point it is where it feels different, but am sure it is something I will become use to.

I have worn the same 6 stitch hat I wore with my mask inside the helmet.
When I remove the HSM, the hat stays inside. I like to have a hat to wear between innings so I may continue to wear a hat inside. Haven't decided which way I will go on this.

Although I have not taken a shot to it yet, I feel the fit will provide my with better protection than my standard mask. I have gotten a mild concussion with my standard mask this year.

At this time I have nothing but pros for this HSM.

I believe All Star has designed and developed an outstanding piece of protective equipment.

I would recommend the All Star MVP2500 System 7 to anyone considering a HSM.

I wore a HSM while catching for 10 years and never had one this comfortable! It is light and have never felt a shot. I like the removable pads, they make cleaning it a breeze. Good protection and the field of view is great!

    Pros

    Look: The style is great

Protection: Haven't felt one in the noggin yet

Ease: It is a snug fit, and yet I had no problem taking it off the first time I tried.

Cleanabilty: Yep I made the word up... But you can easily remove the padding to wash so that you aren't stinking up the game.

    Cons

    Can't think of one
