I have found that the longer you wear the 995 base shoes the better they seem to wear and conform to your feet. I know the first day I wore them I wanted to send them back as well. They have gotten gradually better and I wear them now for baseball and football.

I wore the New Balance 350's for as long as they have been out. I decided to try the 995's at the first of this year and it was a HUGE mistake. I found the 995's to be very uncomfortable. Luckily, my local supplier took them back after I had worn them once.

It was good to read the good review on the Reeboks, I think I will give them a try this coming year, plate and base.

The 350 was extraordinarily comfortable. The 995 has less cushioning, but more support and stability. Also, the traction is superior. They should have continued to offer both. The 995 is light and pretty comfortable, but not as comfortable as the 350. I have both and I actually alternate, depending on how my feet feel.

All of my NBs are 13 EE and they fit perfectly. I have two pairs each of the 450s, 350s, 608s, 622s, 558s and they are all 13 EE and they all fit perfectly (when I get a pair I like, I buy a second pair and rotate. Also, I have one pair each of 450s and 350s that I paint all black to conform with one of my H.S. units). I ordered the 995 mid-cuts in that same size and they too were hell on my feet. I had to put them on the shelf. Then, NB took them back (even though they were used!!!) and sent me a 13 EEEE, and voila! They are not as comfortable as the 350s, but they are comfortable enough. And they already come in all black. So, naturally, I bought a second pair of 995s, but in the silver & black football player/officials' color scheme (not as shiny as the ump version), and I love them too. The support issue is not there with the mid-cuts. Also, the sole is thinner, so there is less ankle turn when you plant and cut. It's definitely a performance shoe. It was designed for football players for crying out loud. Order them a little wider than normal, and they're a different pair of shoes.

I had the same probelms with my 995's. I switched to the Reebok's from ump-attire.com. The Reebok's solved all my problems. They look great, feel great, and are so easy to clean.

Another problem with my 995's was that the tongue of the shoe would slide down my foot until it would be all croumpled together on my foot and I would have trouble running in them. I think the problem came from not having a strap on the tongue keeping the tongue up through the laces.

The Reebok's have solved all my problems and would recommend the shoes to all.

I really like these shoes. NB shoes always seem to fit my feet perfectly. These shoes have great grip and I really do like the way that they look.

I was switching base shoes from a pair of plastic stud cleats, and attempted to find the NB 350, which have come highly recommended. But alas, none in my size. I tried on multiple types including a pair of Tannel 360s, which were a close 2nd.

The shoes fit nicely with a solid foundation when running. The short studs on the sole provide ample grip on both dirt and grass in wet and dry conditions. They clean up nice with just a spray from my handy-dandy bottle. The only thing I don't like about them is the patent leather area around the toe that seems to stand out just a little at first, but I think eventually that feeling will go away.
