Sorry been busy, I have been umpping for 4 years. Our Little league needed somebody to run the umpires and I just decided to jump in with both feet. I played and coached for years, so this is my way to still stay involved. Thanks for replying, have a good day.

I just went to a week long Umpire Clininc @ Little League Central region Headquarters in Indianapolis. It was very intense and long days, but it was money and time well spent. Great instructors and a great bunch of guys in the class that have the same passion as I do. We all love the game of baseball and want to stay involved.

What is the call on a runner at 1st when he goes to return to the base? If he turns to the left casn he be tagged out. If he turns to the right but looks like he is headed to 2nd but does not cross over the foul line is he out. The rule book just states the runner must return immediately to the base. Can anybody please clarify this for me.
