  1. Update for me, took another hard foul in the neck extension last week, and it hurt more than it should've. I felt the sting for the next 15 or 20 minutes. I lost confidence in it after two shots that I really should not have felt with most other CPs... just sold it and got a Douglas 15", I feel a lot safer behind the plate now.
  2. In VA, VHSL has said we don't have to wear them but my organization requires us to for high school games.
  3. sold @Thunderheads
  4. whoops, didn't read that you'd already tried that one. let me know if you find one though, i'm using the one off ump attire with the bat measuring hole so it's easier to grab out of your pocket
  5. Found this thing on the +POS website...https://www.pluspos.com/baseball-umpire-equipment-umpire-gear/brushes/scrapper-brush.html but we all know buying from there is a gamble
  6. What I don't really understand about +POS is how it fell off so hard. I was watching some MLB games from the 90s and you see guys with the POS samurai CP and that POS resin (?) mask that I heard explodes sometimes. I can't find any history on the company so does anyone know why/how they fell off so hard? I'm guessing it has something to do with the West Vest patent but I'm sure there's more to the story.
  7. @Scotty_Ump Where did you get those pads? It's odd that they're a different shade of leather and also the ones that came with my mag don't have the all star logo on the top strap.
  8. @Thunderheadsplease lock this up, I have some new ideas for modifications
  9. Let me know if you need a spare...
  10. Selling this Force 3 V2, basically brand new, used in about 5 games. Has everything including stock harness, velcro wings, and the gap protection (? I can't really remember what they are) plates. $160 shipped.
  11. Took my first shot yesterday with my adidas icon and mag pads, untouched 70-something fastball, hardly felt it. I'm really impressed with these pads and felt them compress during the impact. My question, what pads do you use and why? I don't think I could go back to the crappy wilson pads like I used to have on my first mask.
  12. https://www.ebay.com/itm/224440444116?hash=item3441b164d4:g:~uAAAOSwmtRghz4V really nice extra long douglas, hard to resist but i don't need the shins
  13. where can you buy a blue one? i can only find silver and rainbow online, rainbow looks too distracting
  14. about to order one, i like the look of it on the grey one
  15. I would do $140 for the frame and harness. I would prefer to keep the pads
  16. Recently picked up this adidas icon, added the grey all star pads, tg, and visor. Other one is my fm25 recently powder coated by tony in navy, with the all star deerskin and tg. Love the look of both of them.
  17. I'm rocking the icon and grey pads right now, love the look. Highly recommend folks!
  18. Selling my mag, bought in June of last year, used in about 10-12 plates, and only taken one shot. Happy to sell with or without pads, harness, etc. More pics upon request, make me an offer.
  19. I don't have the V3, but took my first shot with the V2 yesterday in the shoulder. Felt it, but didn't really hurt. I do wonder how much different the protection of the V3 is though with the kevlar and all.
  20. Off the top of my head, May, Layne, Estabrook, Tumpane are also wearing one.
  21. Bump, here's the eBay link for anyone wanting it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/373538924768
  22. Anybody know what the typical turn around is for receiving your mask back? Tony received mine last Friday, the 2nd and I'm guessing it's been shipped back at this point but I never got any confirmation. Does he usually let you know when it's done?
  23. I think I have watched just about every American umpire clip on youtube, so I typed in the word for umpire in Japanese and found a bunch more stuff. I have no idea what they're saying in this but it talks about a few notable umpires and also explains some mechanics and rotations. Pretty cool. Also here's the word for umpire in Japanese in case anyone wants to do the same thing. 審判
