Yeah, I'm 6'1", and the larger Platinum left one rib exposed. Always a bit uneasy after cracking a rib in a different situation, and knowing how painful that was.

Now look at the System 7, with the little dip on each side, which actually covered my last rib. Genius.

I tried out the F3 and hated it, but one thing I'll say is I loved how long it was. 18" covered almost my whole stomach, it was great.

I went to the cobalt skully to help distribute the impacts. Not a lot of headshots so far, but it's not not working. TW pads fwiw. I've mainly noticed headshots in the jaw area. I figure the skully fives me a blast plate of sorts up top, and the mag pads would match that at the jaw. What do you think? I'm a bit in trial and error mode. In the adult league I have the potential to see 90s, but haven't yet. 80s for sure.

I think the skully will help a good amount. From what I understand light masks distribute more force to your face because they don't absorb as much. Maybe I'm more old school, but I sold my All Star mag because I thought it was too light. I took a LL pitch to the head and it actually rattled me more than a men's league or 18U foul. I think masks have gotten a little too light for safety without a skullcap or one of those Gerry Davis con cushions. However, the Mag pads are really, really good for jaw impacts. I can say that the difference between them and Honig's on a jaw shot is night and day.

I like the tan doeskin all star mag pads (really like the idea of the blast plate) that you have. I've got tan TW's but leather is nice. I will have to see what Santa thinks...

They're nice but kind of bulky. The protection is worth it in my opinion. I wouldn't suggest them on your Nike though because I feel like the top pad is too small for such a light mask. That's why I stick to steel.

Now, see, wasn’t that so much easier than paint?

I’d dare ya to get royal blue (in fairness, I think CeCe used might be more cerulean). Sooooo much more attention-getting than that stoooopid, garish big yellow W.

Oh! And it’s going to hold up much better than paint, especially since it won’t transfer into your shirt or (worse) plate coat.

It was surprisingly easy. Your Schutt would not be however 😉

Vinyl cling / wrap. We use it to wrap cars, vans, trailers and buses. In that Douglas, you’ve got yourself carapace panels that are uniform and broad – this’ll be a piece of cake to cover. Far less effort than paint, with less affect upon your shirts (and plate coat!) when worn, and a much more cohesive and professional look.

With vinyl, we can print just about anything. Solid color? Sure. Carbon fiber or chain mail pattern? Easily. Beer in a glass? Novel! Your own personal logo or icon? Now we’re talkin’.

Been thinking of doing this, read some threads on the topic but seems like there wasn't a definite conclusion as to a brand or method.

Edit: Just bought some matte black vinyl stick on wrap from amazon. Will update with results

Have your tried a large Under Armor type shirt over the c/p? It makes the coat just glide over the c/p, instead of catch and pull. It's a great feel.

I like the exposed CP look better IMO

I had the same issue, I went to the plastic handle brush and started keeping it in the back pocket. Has worked for me.

That's what I'm going to do, also going to pick up the Honig's ball bags I think. Realized I've been using the same Champros since I started.

I have never had balls come out while running (I use the Smitty ones).  I keep the plate brush in my right front pocket and my notepad/folder for trips and lineup cards in my right back pocket, as ironically, that is what comes out when I run.

Usually it's just the brush that comes out, not the balls. It kinda feels like the baseballs bounce around and push the brush out. I'll probably just get a smaller one and put it in the back pocket now.

  8. You should not have let him continue. You obviously took a lot of offense to what he was saying and took it to heart which would not have happened if you had just dumped him far earlier. This just shows the coach that he can say and do whatever he wants to officials, because more often then not they are not reprimanded by the league. I'm sure others will have some more detailed feedback, but at the end of the day you just can't let that slide.

I had to buy both of them second hand. I’ve tried with +POS a couple times but had to call PayPal both times. They are done.

Also, I hope to see some more replies and pictures. I can’t be the only CP nerd out there...

I want to do something creative with a champion but don't have any ideas. Anyone have a power/power inspired cp? :question1:

I think I like it on the silver frame better.

I like both. The seasons over now so it's not getting use as is. The only thing I don't like about the Belgards is a visor won't fit.
