When I used to do house league games, we had about 15 minutes between end of game 1 and start of game 2. It was painful. However, it's the same even with rep tournaments. Games are generally scheduled at 9am, 11:15am, 1:30pm, and 3:45pm, each with a two hour time limit. Those are extremely difficult to stick to, and usually unless there's a game that finishes way ahead of time, this schedule is never stuck to.

Adams XV-HDX received today thru hibbetts
MikeSafari replied to The1yankee's topic in Umpire Equipment
Fold them over each other, then either electrical tape or gaffer/hockey tape them in place. Works for me when I don't want excess strappage hanging around. -
You wouldn't happen to have a picture of this, @Hkepuck?

Yeah seems good enough for me. I'm gonna give it a go one game and then swap my UL harness on and compare. Might stick with the stock one, but we'll see. -

I just received my HDX today and it does have these. Now I'm wondering if I should modify it at all or leave it stock. -
Anyone found one they like? I grabbed this 4" Wilson from UA but the straps it came with aren't very long so it's got very little mobility. It'd be nice if F3 made/offered their own, but alas, I am stuck with third-party options it appears.

I'm not actually convinced that this is because of the new tariffs. More likely is that they used a different shipping company who charged brokerage and duties/taxes. In my experience, shipping cross-border with USPS gives you the least hassle, while DHL, UPS, FedEx, and the like will all charge $10-$20 in brokerage fees on top of the HST and whatever duties are assessed. I haven't noticed any changes in bringing stuff across the border recently, though I am going down to Buffalo to pick up some stuff at a warehouse next month, so that'll be the real litmus test for me.

Brand New NEW BALANCE 460 V3 LO CUT Plate Shoes
MikeSafari replied to CarterCaplanTheUmp's topic in Buy, Sell or Trade
Have you tried insoles? Double-socking it seems like a recipe for blisters, but thick insoles work well for making a shoe wear a bit smaller.- 2 replies

Yeah, so I gotta get it sooner rather than later!

I'm considering the Honig's coat... Does anyone have one handy to check something for me? What's the country of manufacture? If it's the US, I might jump on it because it'll come across the border duty-free

The New York Mets just batted out of order and got caught.

Adams XV-HDX received today thru hibbetts
MikeSafari replied to The1yankee's topic in Umpire Equipment
It's not terrible, but again, #JustCanadianThings. It's a 30% markup right off the bat due to the currency, then duties and taxes at the border This is why I was so annoyed when UA and Hibbetts sold out, because I was gonna get it shipped to a warehouse across the border in Buffalo but without that, it became kind of moot. Sidenote: I cannot see this eBay listing at all. No matter what I search, I get zero results. -

And I don't even feel well-protected or comfortable! I spent the whole night shimmying it around my torso trying in vain to find a position where I got both comfort and protection. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez talk about capitalism. I'm not about to buy it for $165USD when it's ~$80 brand new. I'll wait. -

Where? I can't find anything. Much appreciated. I wore my old WVG on the diamond for the first time this year and was rudely reminded why I dislike it so much. -

This thing is more difficult to find than snow in the Sahara. -
Nope. I mean, it's super weird and obviously the call was wrong, but jeez I've never seen that happen before.

Correct. @wolfe_man, from their email to me: And that's from April 5th.

Ain't that the truth. I feel like I start buying when the US season is in full swing. Mine doesn't begin for another month yet, so by the time I'm looking, everyone else has bought the gear I want
-
Just wish retailers had it in-stock so I could buy one! Seems to be backordered for months everywhere.

I could see him maybe going to a Force3 bucket. But there have been a lot of really vicious shots over the last couple of seasons and with pitchers throwing harder than ever, we're only going to see more and more injuries and retirements à la Dale Scott.

Looks like Greg Gibson has changed from the old MVP4000 bucket to the new All Star magnesium TM.
