to go off what rich said...if you wanna give me a plate in a 10-11 yr old sectional semi final game (which i had this yr) you will have no problem getting me to volunteer (and 3 others as we went with a 4 man crew) however if you want me to volunteer to do a 9 yr old regular season little league game for free when i could be studying/down the shore/hanging out w friends thats where you lose me

Yes. The run does score because this is a time play rather than a force play. The runner at 1st is not forced. See the definition of a force play under OBR 2.00

Dave Im a mild mannered guy, but Im with you. If someone spits at me and it misses, Im leaving and the game is over. If someone spits at me and it hits me, Im leaving, theyre leaving in the back of an ambulance, and the game is over. And the coach will be charged w battery w special circumstances (sports officials are protected under the same category as Law enforcement here in jersey).

well the game went well and somehow larry managed to put up with me.....seriously though it was a pleasure to work with larry and i hope we can do this on a more regular basis....forgot to get a before picture so heres an after (95 and humid).... (I'm the good looking one)

Thanks...it is nice to be recognized and i d enjoy the games....having a national anthem played before the game and lineups and umpires announced (something that only happens in LL post season play for me) makes it worth the morons in the stands districts in my district is still paid...(minus one cheap LL) but sectionals is volunteer and you have to be picked...im always on the list of eligible umpires so i try to do a couple when the time comes

my hometown...that place is 2 min from my house districts is done w the exception of one division...(that will finish next fri)...my home LL (the same one I'm working w larry at) is hosting a sectional that ill help w before i head up to CDP but before that i have one more district championship game ahead of me which makes 3 for me on the yr (9-10, 10-11, and majors)

Car was totaled but thank god for insurance. A little update- my nose was surgically put back together and the fracture has healed and the stitches are out of my hand. No concussion symptoms for around 3 weeks now. I've been doing a few on the bases over the past week or so and I'm scheduled to be behind the dish for the first time on Saturday. It's a big game (winner onto District 19 championship) so hopefully I don't suck too badly. Thanks for the support fam!
