Jim, Force 3 uses the plastic buckles.

No cut them off and they are regular buckles.

I have them on my force 3 shin guards and they work great. If you have the force 3 shins you will need to cut the buckles out of the straps as force 3 just loops the straps around the buckle and stitches it. You can also go to ump attire and buy new straps for 2.99.

Well today is the 23rd, Honig's still saying they do not have my order in their system. I went back online and placed the order again and called back and still nothing in there system. I was informed today by the person I talked to that what ever I was told before was before they came on and they had no idea what I was talking about. It's crazy to me how poor of a company Honig's has become.

I placed an order online over the weekend, today I called hoping to be able to add something to my order. When I first called the person I was talking to said I had not ordered anything since 2014 and couldn't find the order. When I gave her the order ID she said she couldn't find it,then found it in the "old" online system and it had not ported over to the "new" system and it was a good thing I called. So it sounds like there "state of the art" warehouse is still working the kinks out. The entire interaction was extremely confusing and I am questioning if my shirts will be done correctly. The customer service is not even close to what the people in MI provided. More suppliers need to offer non-smitty brand options.

Congrats on surviving your first game! I think you did right given the game situation and spirit of the rule. That said, I wouldn't tell the coach you went easy because he's never pitched before. If the kid had pitched before or if he came in and it was a 1 run game, would you have done anything different? As an umpire the less we say the better.

By asking before making any call, you are 100% putting the call on the PU. Perception is they are making the call not giving information. If the ball beats the runner and you don't see a pulled foot.....out. If they want to question if the runner arrived before the ball they are coming to you. 90% of the time non-issue...5% not 100% but no one questions...2% we're not 100% but we're right and they question...2% we're wrong but no one questions...1% we're wrong and we change the call. You want to go to your partner 10% of the time for a 1% (at most 3%) problem.

What matters is everyone is wearing the same color and all base umps wear the same. We have umpires who are still using the old zip up +POS shirts here. You really can't call them navy any longer because they are so sun faded. We just switched to black for state and regional finals here, so maybe there will be some new shirts purchased.

To me the catcher is guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct. He leads with his helmet and was running at the runner with intent to make exsessive contact. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
