Depends on the rule set - FED is the normal stance, and the others are basically when they swing. Don't make it smaller just because they square to bunt, it is a typical 3-0 trick.

For NCAA and OBR: "as the batter prepares to swing"


In my judgement, those don't change for a bunting stance.

I would argue the key difference may be "natural batting stance" rather than "batting stance"
